Azerbaijani embassy in Russia held a roundtable on anniversary of 20 Yanvar tragedy

The representatives of Azerbaijan Diaspora, well-known historians, politicians, journalists and living witnesses of the tragedy participated in the roundtable. The ceremony began with the commemoration of martyrs. Then the participants discussed the reasons of the tragedy, and heard the reports. A politician of Moscow State International Relations Institute offered to establish a Russian-Azerbaijani joint investigation group to find out the reasons of 20 Yanvar tragedy. He considered it necessary to gather relevant materials and find out the reasons of the tragedy by the joint group. The offer was supported by the participants. Natalya Davletshina, editor-in-chief of magazine International history, said that she is surprised at the visits of main culprits in this tragedy like Yevgeni Primakov, are allowed to visit Azerbaijan. The speech of Vladimir Litovkin, military reporter of RIA Novosti, among Russian Army troops entered Baku in 1990, raged the participants. He said that there were many people bought out among those setting up barricades at the streets. But he yielded to apologize after serious protests by Oleg Gusev, reporter of radio Liberty. The participants were presented publications dedicated to the history of Kharabakh at the en of the roundtable. /APA/
