The Chamber of Representatives of Belarus and Azerbaijan will discuss an agreement on visa free regime, Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus told the APA. The document signed by Deputy Premier of Belarus Andrey Kobekov and Deputy Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Khalef Khalefov has already been ratified by Azerbaijani side. After approving the document in the Chamber of Representatives, it will be presented to the Council of Republic and then will be signed by Belarus President. The embassy also noted that at present, there is no visa regime between Azerbaijan and Belarus. In the frame of Bishkek agreement signed in 1992, visa free regime exists between the countries. To be discussed document will only serve to strengthening of the relations. It was stressed that Belarus applies only visa regime with Turkmenistan among CIS countries and the initiator of the issue was Turkmenistan.
It should be noted that, the agreement on visa free regime between Azerbaijan and Belarus was signed in the frame of the meeting of intergovernmental economic commission on May 15, 2006. /APA/
