Azadliq block entrusts Rally Committee to set venue

Azadliq block intends to hold protest actions, set on January 26, in ten different squares, deputy chief of Azerbaijan Peoples Front party Hasan Kerimov told the APA. He said tat the council of chief entrusted Rally committee to define the venues for the rallies.
â€œThe number of the venues will not be less than 10. The list includes Fuzuli square, Ganjlic metro station, Samed Vurgun garden, outside of Narimanov cinema, Baku Majorâ€™s Office, Economic Development Ministry and others. Kerimov also noted that block insists on the rallies despite the position of city leadership.
Baku Main Police Board (BMPB) waits for the decision of Baku Majorâ€™s Office on rallies, BMPB public security department chief Shamil Seyidli told the APA. He said that if the majorâ€™s office responses positive to the rallies, police will ensure the security of the rally members.
â€œBaku Majorâ€™s Office has set venues for rallies, protest actions. If the rally set by the opposition is held in the defined venues, we will ensure their security. But if the rallies are not allowed, and then the police will prevent any action,â€? he said. /APA/
