Baku-APA. The Ukrainian parliament, led by Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov, on Monday issued a travel ban on those suspected of killing protestors during the three-month massive protests, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
At a session presided over by Turchynov, the parliament asked the Ukrainian State Border Service to stop those who are suspected of killing protesters from leaving the country, the Interfax news agency reported.
The session also dismissed several officials from their posts and made some new appointments of key governmental positions, including the national bank director and the general prosecutor.
On Saturday, the parliament passed a resolution to dismiss President Viktor Yanukovych from his post and set an early election for May 25, declaring him constitutionally unable to carry out his duties.
The whereabouts of Yanukovych is still unknown after he reportedly left the capital late Friday to take part in a regional meeting in the city of Kharkov near the Russian border.
According to local media reports, the ousted president may reside in the Crimean peninsula in southern Ukraine or has left the country.
The Interior Ministry on Monday issued an arrest warrant for Yanukovych and his close allies over the protests, which began last November to back the country's European integration but turned violent starting last Tuesday. At least 82 people were dead.
