“After a meeting with European politicians [foreign ministers of France, Germany and Poland - Itar-Tass], the president invited the opposition for talks in order to stop combat operation in Kiev,” he said, adding that these issues would be discussed at the parliament “after they find common solutions.”
In the meantime, press secretary to the leader of the opposition party UDAR, Oksana Zinovyeva, has not confirmed information that the UDAR leader, Vitali Klitschko, was taking part in any talks. “I do not have such information,” she told Itar-Tass.
On Thursday, the Verkhovna Rada met for an extraordinary session in a bid to take decisions that would help stop fierce confrontation in the country.
