Turkey is proposing to the parties to the Ukrainian conflict to conclude a limited agreement on refraining from attacks on energy facilities and ensuring the safety of navigation in the Black Sea until they can agree on a comprehensive peace agreement, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced on TV NET, APA reports.
"In the absence of a comprehensive ceasefire and a peace agreement, it is proposed to conclude a limited agreement on non-attacks on energy facilities and ensuring the safety of navigation in the Black Sea," he said.
Fidan recalled that a similar agreement was reached on a grain deal in 2022. "Thus, not only the vessels involved in transporting grain but all commercial vessels avoided navigation blockages," he noted.
