The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced mandatory requirements for foreigners entering the country, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
All foreigners entering the Russian Federation, as well as those who have already been in its territory for a long time, must undergo a medical examination.
This requirement applies to all foreigners staying in the country for a long period, as well as to citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, regardless of the purpose of their visit.
Foreigners are required to confirm annually that they do not have certain diseases that pose a threat to others. If such a disease is detected, the foreigner may be deported from the country and banned from entering in the future.
"If the purpose of the visit is tourism and the foreigner’s stay in Russia does not exceed 3 months, then a medical examination is not required," the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs states.
