Russian President Vladimir Putin had separate telephone conversations with the presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing the Kremlin press service.
During the telephone conversation with Mirziyoyev, it was noted that bilateral trade between Russia and Uzbekistan has increased.
The heads of state discussed the progress of large joint projects in the trade, economic, and energy sectors. They also expressed satisfaction with the close cooperation between a number of key institutions of the two countries.
During the telephone conversation with Rahmon, it was noted that the package of documents signed by Russia and Tajikistan will give a new impetus to the future development of the partnership.
Putin stressed that the second Russia-Central Asia summit held in Dushanbe was organized at a high level.
It should be noted that earlier today, the Kremlin released information that Putin also had a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
