Migrants have been banned from working as taxi drivers and couriers in Russia’s northern capital, St. Petersburg, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov has signed a decision prohibiting migrants from working as taxi drivers and couriers in the city until the end of 2026.
Note that since last year, several regions in Russia have already banned foreigners from working in taxi and courier services. The Tula, Chelyabinsk, Magadan, Kaluga, Tyumen, and Kurgan regions have for several years imposed restrictions on migrants working in taxi and passenger transportation sectors.
