Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov did not disclose the details of the Ukraine settlement concept proposed by the United States at the Anchorage summit, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, also refused to comment on how this concept aligns with Russia’s ideas regarding security guarantees and the Istanbul agreements.
“No, I cannot disclose that,” Peskov said during the briefing held today.
Note that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with Hungary’s “Ultrahang” YouTube channel that during the talks in Alaska with U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed his readiness to achieve a settlement in Ukraine based on the concept proposed by Washington.
The head of Russian diplomacy noted that Putin thoroughly reiterated each element of the concept presented by U.S. President’s special envoy Steven Witkoff, and each of these points was confirmed by the American side. After that, according to Lavrov, the Russian President stated that Moscow is ready to accept the U.S. concept and to “practically move forward on the proposed basis.”
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also stated that the United States has not given a direct response to Moscow’s proposal.
