The Kremlin has clarified why the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, held in Kazan, were conducted behind closed doors, APA's Russia bureau reports.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the meeting between Putin and Guterres was held privately at the request of the UN Secretary-General.
The Kremlin spokesperson noted that Putin and Guterres exchanged views on various issues during the meeting in Kazan.
It should be noted that the BRICS summit took place in Kazan from October 22-24. The event, which was attended by more than 30 heads of state, also included the participation of the UN Secretary-General.
