US President Donald Trump has proposed appointing Russian fighters Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov as assistants to the White House press secretary, APA reports.
The proposal could take effect if UFC President Dana White accepts the position of White House press secretary.
In addition to Makhachev and Nurmagomedov, he also wants Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris to be brought in as assistants.
“We need these people to protect us from the radical leftists. Dana, please accept this position,” Trump noted on his Truth Social account.
