“Being in beautiful Shusha on the eve of Victory Day brings a feeling of endless pride and happiness. Six years ago, under the decisive and wise leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, and at the cost of the blood of our martyrs, our lands were liberated from occupation, putting an end to nearly thirty years of longing for Karabakh and Shusha,” Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev wrote in a post on his X account, APA reports.
He emphasized that standing in his native Shusha today as a citizen of a victorious state is an incomparable feeling.
“May Allah rest the souls of our martyrs! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!” Hajiyev added.
