The Kremlin has commented on the detention of Gagauzia leader Eugenia Gutul, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov said that the Moldovan authorities are using open pressure tactics against Maia Sandu's political opponents.
According to him, the Moldovan authorities have chosen a tactic of disregarding the principles of political pluralism and democracy.
"The Kremlin condemns the actions of the Moldovan authorities who arrested the leader of Gagauzia, Gutul. Chisinau should abandon such methods," emphasized Putin's spokesperson.
