Kazakhstan’s new constitution, planned to be adopted in a referendum, will not hinder the implementation of international agreements, said Kazakhstan’s Justice Minister Erlan Sarsembayev, APA reports.
He noted that although the new version of the constitution plans to prioritize national law over international law, the country’s foreign treaties will remain in force. According to the minister, their implementation will be overseen by a unicameral parliament, which will increase the responsibility of legislators.
It should be noted that the referendum on the constitutional amendments will be held on March 15.
