Baku-APA. Russian Prime Minister and president-elect Vladimir Putin and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen may meet in the foreseeable future, the director of the NATO information bureau in Moscow, Robert Pszel, said on Wednesday, APA reports quoting Ria Novosti.
“We expect them to hold a one-on-one meeting in the very near future,†he said, speaking in Russian, in an interview with Ekho Moskvy radio.
“Personal contacts are very important. This will be the first step.â€
Pszel also said that the NATO-Russia Council will meet next week.
“The agenda is broad; everything is important - Afghanistan, various forms of cooperation, and the Chicago summit,†he said.
“We do have something to talk about, and this is very important.â€
