Baku-APA. Visitors were evacuated from two shopping malls in southeast and southwest Moscow on Saturday amid a terror threat, a police spokesperson said, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
Police evacuated a large shopping center Mega-Belaya Dacha, in southeast Moscow, after they found a written message saying an explosion would occur at 9 p.m. (1800 GMT) , the spokesperson said.
Shortly after, a bomb threat also caused evacuation of another Mega-Tyopli Stan shopping complex, in southwest Moscow. The evacuation caused large traffic jams on the roads.
"The work of the shopping malls was stopped, the buildings are being checked by dog teams. Nearby IKEA shops are also being examined. Rescuers, firefighters and ambulance teams are on duty," the spokesperson said.
Police in Moscow were put on high alert following the deadly terrorist blast at the capital’s Domodedovo airport on January 24 which killed 35 people and injured dozens.
