"I will not hide that we have some ideas on this subjec, but for obvious reasons I will not say them" – Medvedev said
"Unfortunately, it turned out that several earlier opportunities for our country disappeared. As you know, bases in foreign countries by order of the President of the Russian Federation are not created. This requires a complicated political and diplomatic work to us and wanted to see considered as an element of strengthening their own image, their own safety in other countries "- said the Russian president.
According to him, when ships go for support vessels - it is very expensive and often ineffective.
"In this sense, our current partners have much better conditions, because they poke themselves bases in different parts of the world and go, refuel. In general, a topic that requires careful public participation" – Medvedev said.
