Georgian mine explosion kills three, injures seven

There were 11 workers in the mine during the explosion. Five seriously injured workers were placed to intensive care unit of the Tbilisi Burn Center. Two others were taken to the Tbilisi Clinic.
Interior Minister of Georgia Vano Marbishvili and GFovernor of the region Lasha Makatsariya visited the site. The minister promised to investigate the incident and to show assistance to the families of killed and injured workers.
According to the preliminary reports, the explosion was caused by methane ignition.
This is the second mine explosion in Tkibuli this year. Four miners were killed as a result of explosion on March 3.
