Crimes against foreigners in Russia increase by 68 percent over the past 10 years

Crimes against foreigners in Russia have increased by 68 percent over the past 10 years, said Russian prosecution official Alexander Bastrikin at the meeting on the government’s migration policy. He said the number of crimes against the foreign citizens in Russia increased from 9 to 15 thousand or 68%. He said crimes committed by foreigners in Russia also increased by 7.5% against the last year facts. He said mostly citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were brought to justice for those cases. Most crimes committed by foreigners take place in Moscow, nearby regions, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. The prosecution official said only 0.5 percent of illegal migrants were withdrawn from Russia.
