Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko resigns

Kiev – APA. Yuri Lutsenko sent in his resignation from the post of Interior Minister of Ukraine, APA reports quoting UNIAN. Lutsenko sent a letter to the parliament and asked to consider this issue without him. The minister’s resignation is connected with the incident happened at Frankfurt airport on May 4.
Yuri Lutsenko and his 19-year-old Alexander were not allowed on board the plane at Frankfurt airport on May 4. According to the Bild newspaper, the plane captain refused to take off with such drunken passengers. In response, Lutsenko allegedly "took offense, started shouting and hurling his mobile phone." Police had to detain them. Alexander, was allegedly incompliant and as a result was handcuffed, media reported. Lutsenko refuted the reports and said the German police had officially apologized to him for the incident.
