Baku - APA-Economics. The Dow Jones industrial Average advanced 10.27 points, or 0.06 per cent, to 16,256.14, while the broad-based S&P 500 rose 6.92 points, or 0.38 per cent, to 1,851.96, the Age reported.
The tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index rallied, leading the market to its first day of gains after three straight losses.
The Nasdaq added 33.23 points, or 0.81 per cent, to 4,112.99.
London's FTSE 100 dropped 32.15 points, or 0.49 per cent, to 6,590.69 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 shed 11.25 points, or 0.25 per cent, to 4,424.83 points and the DAX 30 in Frankfurt gave up 20.06 points, or 0.21 per cent, to 9,490.79 points.
