Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-ECONOMICS. The Dow Jones industrial average shot up 173 points to 13,010. That's the first close above 13,000 for the Dow since Election Day. The S&P 500 rose 18 points to 1,409. The S&P also racked up its biggest weekly point gain of the year. The Nasdaq composite index climbed 40 to 2,967, necn reported.
In Europe, the FTSE 100 index of leading British shares jumped 0.6 percent at 5,824, while Germany's DAX rose 0.9 percent to 7,309. The CAC-40 in France was also 0.8 percent higher at 3,525.
December contract gold price tracked higher by 1.34 percent to close the last session at 1,751.40 per troy ounce.
