A 5.3-magnitude earthquake shook the Solomon Islands on Monday, according to the information of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), APA reports.
The tremor's epicenter was some 188 kilometers east-southeast of the town of Honiara, with a population of 56,200 inhabitants, and it struck at a depth of 84 kilometers.
There have been no immediate reports of potential damage or casualties.
