A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported Sunday, APA reports quoting Sputnik.
The quake occurred at the depth of 62.8 kilometers (39 miles) in the vicinity of the Tandag city in the northern part of Mindanao at 9:19 a.m. local time (01:19 GMT), the USGS said.
No information on casualties or damage from the tremor has been reported at the moment.
