ISIS seizes Kobani city - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Baku – APA. “Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)” has seized Syrian city of Kobani, which was under the control of The People's Protection Units (YPG), an armed wing of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), APA reports quoting Turkish press.

A black flag apparently belonging to the Islamic State (IS) jihadists has been raised atop a building on the eastern side of the Syrian city of Kobani, where the Islamist group has been fighting Kurdish forces in recent days.

Turkish government has tightened security measures against ISIS threat. Sanliurfa Governorship evacuated three districts bordering with Kobani and the tent city where Syrian refugees lived. Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, General Hulusi Akar visited Sanliurfa to lead defense measures. Tanks have been deployed to Syrian borders.
