The U.S’s search of adventure in Syria resembles a game with fire, said Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani, APA’s Tehran bureau reported.
Commenting on the U.S’s threats against the Syrian government, Shamkhani said that by sounding groundless accusations against Damascus, Washington aims to conceal its consistent failure in the fight against terrorism: “If the U.S. government is really convinced of its accusations, then it should submit its evidence to the Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-Proliferation Centre (WMDC).”
Shamkhani added that though Iran and Russia initiated the establishment of a fact-finding group upon the U.S’s military attack on the Syrian military base, Washington prevented it. He mentioned that such steps of the U.S. would cause bad results.
