Baku-APA. Iran will work with the UN nuclear watchdog on its proposals and approaches in upcoming talks, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Monday.
The statement came after Araqchi met with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Yukiya Amano in Vienna, ahead of scheduled talks between both sides over an inspection framework document that kicked off Monday.
"We had a very useful and constructive meeting," Araqchi told reporters after the meeting.
IAEA has held 12 rounds of meetings with Iran since 2011, but no progress has been made over the inspection framework. The document aims at facilitating inspection of Iran's nuclear program.
International inspectors' access to the Parchin nuclear site is still blocked.
Iran has long maintained that its nuclear program is designed only for peaceful purposes.
