Baku-APA. Nine mine workers were rescued Tuesday after being trapped in a privately owned coal mine in Dilaver town of Zonguldak province in western Turkey along the Black Sea coast, APA reports quoting private Dogan news agency.
The nine workers trapped in 20 meters underground early Tuesday morning were rescued and they are now in stable condition, Zonguldak Governor Ali Kaban was quoted as saying, adding that the accident was reported by a father of one of the trapped miners.
The incident took place three months after Turkey's biggest industrial disaster in which 301 people died after a fire broke out at a mine in Soma in western Turkey.
