Baku-APA. At least four people were killed on Tuesday evening when a U.S. drone launched an attack in Pakistan's northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan, local media reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua
According to the reports, the attack took place at 6.30 p.m. ( local time) when a U.S. pilotless aircraft fired two missiles at a house located in Kandansar area of Datta Khel in North Waziristan, Pakistan's restive tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The house was leveled to the ground after the attack, and four people inside it were killed.
The death toll may further rise as some more people were feared to have been trapped under debris of the compound.
Identities of the killed people have not been known yet.
U.S. pilotless planes kept on hovering over the area after the attack, which caused panic among the locals.
Earlier in the day, a U.S. unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a compound of a militant commander in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, killing six people and injuring five others.
Tuesday evening's drone strike is the fourth of its kind over the last three days and the 13th since the beginning of this year. To date, at least 95 people have reportedly been killed in such strikes in Pakistan.
