Baku-APA. At least two soldiers were killed on Monday and two others injured by militants who attacked a military vehicle in Indian-controlled Kashmir, said the military, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The attack took place in Kashmir's central Budgam district, said an Indian army spokesman in Srinagar, summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
A joint vehicle checking squad of the Indian army and police flagged a private car to stop and the people traveling in the car opened fire on the security forces, the Press Trust of India quoted the military spokesman as saying.
The assailants then fled leaving behind the car and a hunting operation has been launched against them, said the spokesman.
