"Intensive efforts are being made to establish security and stability in Syria. At such a critical time, tensions and the targeting of security forces in Latakia and its surroundings could harm Syria's efforts to move forward with unity and solidarity," said Omcu Keceli, the spokesperson of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He mentioned that such provocations should not be allowed to become a threat to the peace of Syria and the region.
“We oppose any actions that target the right of Syrians to live in peace and prosperity. Türkiye will continue to stand by the Syrian people and government,” he emphasized.
