18 suspects have been arrested as part of a corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), APA reports citing TRT Haber.
Details of the study
Charges: IMM Chairman Ekrem İmamoğlu and 99 suspects have been charged with "being the leader of a criminal organization", "being a member of a criminal organization", "bribery", "fraud", "illegally obtaining personal information" and "tender fraud".
Terror charges
Seven suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, and Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, are being investigated on charges of "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."
Court decisions
Those arrested: Ali Ilbak, Adem Tuncay, Ahmet Koksal, Ali Nuhoglu, Eyup Subasi, Kamil Timur Delibas, Murat Abbas, Mete Sarialtun, Alper Aydin, Serdal Taskin, Serkan Ozturk, Mustafa Nihat Sutlas, Suleyman Atik, Ahmet Cicek, Yusuf Ilbak, Servet Yildirim, Serdar Haydanli and Bugra Gokce.
Those released on parole: Ahmet Palazoğlu, Alihan Aydın, Ercan Saatçi, Alperen Aydın, Bayram Taşkın, Canan Münüklü, Cemal Ufuk Karakaya, Birsen Şahin and Vahit Doğan were released with a "ban on leaving the country" and a "judicial control measure with signature".
