Jordan IAF warns against ignoring Jordanians

Baku-APA. Jordan's largest opposition party the Islamic Action Front (IAF) on Saturday warned against the rise of public tension after the government's decision to end subsidies on fuel, APA reports.

According to a statement issued on its website, the IAF held the government accountable for the political tension in the country after the increase of oil prices.

Meanwhile, the IAF warned against ignoring the demands of the public, and called for seriousness in combating the corruption, according to the statement.

It also voiced rejection of the government's decision to lift fuel subsidies, which triggered nationwide protests of which some turned violent in different parts of the country.

The IAF also renewed its boycott of the upcoming parliamentary elections and called for the release of those arrested during protests which occurred recently in protest of ending fuel subsidies.
