Two commercial vessels were hit by “unknown projectiles” in separate incidents in the Strait of Hormuz, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said, APA reports.
According to the report, the first incident involved a 50,000-ton container ship entering the strait. The vessel sustained minor damage, no injuries were reported, and it continued its journey safely.
The second incident occurred when an unknown projectile struck a 19,000-ton container ship exiting the waterway. This vessel also sustained minor damage, no crew members were injured, and the ship continued its voyage.
