Iran has submitted a request to become an observer state in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU or EEU), Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev said following the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on June 4, APA reports citing foreign media.
“I would like to inform you that our trading partner Iran would like to obtain the observer status. The commission received such a request on 27 May. We will arrange all the necessary work in a due manner,” said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
