Hamas believes that the return of the Israeli hostages taken in October 2023 is possible only through negotiations, APA reports citing the Iranian Tasnim news agency.
"There is no other way to return the Israeli prisoners except through negotiations. We have shown great flexibility and the other side must act on the basis of the agreements reached, without violating our rights," the statement of the radical Palestinian movement said.
It was previously reported that on March 5, US President Donald Trump demanded that Hamas immediately release all hostages held in the Gaza Strip and hand over the bodies of the dead, calling this a “final warning“.
According to information available to Israel, Hamas is still holding 59 hostages, 24 of whom are alive.
