Azerbaijani FM, OSCE Secretary General discusses peace process with Armenia

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has discussed the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on its X account, APA reports.

The parties exchanged views on the main directions of Azerbaijan-OSCE cooperation, challenges faced by the OSCE, threats to regional and global security, as well as the situation in the region.

Jeyhun Bayramov also shared his thoughts on the meeting on his X account.

The Minister noted that he conveyed to the OSCE Secretary General the position of Azerbaijan on the role of the organization in the context of the regional situation in the post-conflict period.

“During the meeting, we noted the importance of eliminating the structures related to the Minsk process, which are a remnant of the past conflict. We provided information on the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and also drew attention to Armenia’s territorial claims in its constitution and other legal documents, as well as its increase in military potential.”
