At least nine people were killed in a housefire in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday, police said, APA reports citing Xinhua.
The incident happened in Abbottabad district, where the house caved in, following the fire, burying all nine family members under the rubbles, the police told media, adding that nine bodies have been retrieved from the debris.
The fire erupted due to a short circuit, swiftly engulfing the whole house before the residents could manage to contain it, the police said.
The bodies have been shifted to a nearby hospital for the identification process, the police added.
