The number of people rescued from the rubble after the 5.6-magnitude earthquake that hit the Turkish city of Malatya has been unveiled said the Head of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), Yunus Sezer, APA reports.
"32 people were rescued from the rubble after the 5.6-magnitude earthquake in the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya. Currently, search and rescue operations are underway in 2 buildings," Sezer stressed.
110 people were injured, and 29 buildings were destroyed as a result of the earthquake.
