3 killed in explosion in Kandahar, Afghanistan

Baku-APA. At least three people were killed in a blast targeting a police vehicle in Kandahar, capital of the southern Afghan province of Kandahar, on Wednesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"A bomb fixed in a motor tricycle was detonated at around 7:45 p.m. local time when a police vehicle was passing by in the 14 sub- district of Kandahar city,"Jawid Faisal told Xinhua.
The dead included two policemen and a passer-by child and the wounded were five policemen and a civilian, he said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but Taliban militants have been behind most suicide and roadside bomb attacks across the war-ravaged country.
Kandahar, the birthplace of Taliban, has seen increasing violence despite constant military operations.
