Baku-APA. Thousands of people in Bangladesh Friday staged demonstrations to protest an anti-Islam film that has triggered anger among Muslims across the world, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

After Jummah prayer, four Islamic organisations -- Islami Oikyo Jote, Islami Oikyo Andolon, Khelafat Andolon and Jamiote Talabaye Arabia -- brought out processions in capital Dhaka. The angry protestors burned U.S. flags and chanted slogans against the U.S. and Israel.

Expressing anger at the film mocking particularly Islam’s Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, thousands of people also staged demonstrations in many other cities and towns of the Muslims majority South Asian country on Friday after Jummah prayer, many local television channels reported.

From the protest processions in Dhaka, angry Muslims chanted slogans against the U.S. and Israel, such as "Death to the United States and death to Israel."

The protesters threatened to go for further agitation if the U. S. government does not arrest maker of the low-cost film, against which thousands of people across the world also raised voice either peacefully or violently.

No incident of violence has been reported in the protest Friday in Bangladesh, a liberal Muslim country of over 152 million people.

In a violent protest in Libya, the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was attacked, leaving the U.S. ambassador and three other staff members killed.
