2 injured in prison fire in eastern Turkey

Baku-APA. At least two convicts were injured in a prison fire in eastern Turkey on Monday, APA reports citing local newspaper Today’s Zaman.
The fire started in the dorm section of the prison in Bingol province, which holds nearly 200 convicts, said the report.
It was not immediately clear whether the fire was set by some convicts to vent their discontent, added the report.
The wounded convicts were taken to Bingol State Hospital for the treatment, said the report.
After the fire broke out, a group of convicts got in a brawl with prison guards, complaining that the prison was overcrowded.
