Turkey, South Korea sign free trade agreement

Baku-APA. Turkey and South Korea signed a free trade agreement, APA reports citing the Sabah newspaper.

The agreement, signed by Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan and South Korean Trade Minister Bark Tae Ho, will enable countries to increase trade turnover to $10 billion over two years.

During the signing of the agreement Caglayan said that Turkey is seeking to strengthen trade and economic ties with South Korea. The minister also noted that following 2011 trade turnover between the countries amounts to $7 billion, of which the share of Turkish products exports is $490 million.

Main objective of the free trade agreement is to remove trade barriers between countries and facilitate the process of attracting investment.
