Iran President invites his Egyptian counterpart to NAM Summit

Baku-APA. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday invited President Mohamed Morsi of Egypt to attend Summit of Leaders of Non-Aligned Movement due to be held in Tehran, APA reports citing IRNA.
President Ahmadinejad told his Egyptian counterpart in a telephone conversation that Tehran has no limits to broaden relations and cooperation with Egypt and enthusiastically welcomes expansion of such ties with Egyptian government and nation.
"Your presence in the upcoming Summit meeting as the current chairman of NAM will help proceed with talks and decisions of the great international formation," he said.
President Ahmadinejad once again congratulated the new Egyptian President on his election and wished success and welfare for the Egyptian nation.
"I hope during your presidency to witness economic development, dignity and prosperity of Egyptian people in all sectors," Ahmadinejad said.
Ahmadinejad said that Muslims with reliance on Islamic rules and principles can make an exemplary society in the world.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to transfer its achievements, capabilities and invaluable experience in various scientific, technological, industrial and economic sectors for the progress and development of Egyptian people, he said.
He said that Iran welcomes expansion of mutual relations and cooperation on regional and global developments with the new Egyptian government.
NAM is capable enough to help restore peace and security round the globe, underlined the Iranian president.
Significant role of Egypt in NAM is undeniable and constructive cooperation between Iran and Egypt to this effect would bring many positive results, he said.
The new Egyptian president, for his part, thanked the Iranian president for his invitation and said Iran and Egypt will spare no efforts to materialize their national aspirations.
He expressed the hope to visit his Iranian counterpart during Tehran NAM summit and said NAM is a very important formation which acts as umbrella for Islamic countries as well as other developing nations and hoped to witness more success of the international body.
The Egyptian president conveyed the warm greetings of Egyptian people and government to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation.
