Iran to jail for satellite antennas

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. Iran’s parliament plans to make amendments to the Law "On the smuggling of valuable things and currency", for the use of parabolic antennas.
The bill provides tougher penalties against citizens using parabolic antennas, APA reports quoting the agency HRANA.
In particular, persons using these antennas can be jailed from 6 months to 2 years.
This week the Iranian government announced measures to tighten control over the Internet. Tehran also plans to be isolated from the world Internet using its own intranet system.
