8.8-magnitude quake hits north-east Japan, 3m tsunami warning - <font color=red>VIDEO</font>

Japanese television has shown major tsunami damage in northern Japan.
Public broadcaster NHK showed cars, trucks, houses and buildings being swept away by tsunami in Onahama city in Fukushima. The quake shook buildings in Tokyo violently. No immediate injuries were reported. Some buildings in Tokyo had caught fire. The epicentre of the quake was east of Sendai and northeast of Tokyo, the Geological Survey said. On Wednesday a 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit about 160km east of Honshu island, swaying buildings in the capital Tokyo.
