Lowering the military conscription age limit in Azerbaijan from 35 to 30 has reduced state expenses, Major General Mursal Ibrahimov, Chief of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said in an interview with APA News Agency and REAL TV.
The service chief said that while preparing this draft, the Service analyzed many aspects and eventually concluded that the health condition of those over 30 is not the same as that of young people, and on the other hand, most citizens in this category are married and work somewhere, so the final version of the draft was prepared and submitted accordingly: “Mr. President took a humane step by agreeing to this change, and as a result, the legislation was amended. As for the reduction of expenses, naturally, lowering the age limit has also had a positive impact on this criterion.”
