Bahrain’s Interior Ministry to recruit 20,000, including protestors

Baku-APA. Bahrain’s Interior Ministry will recruit 20,000 individuals, including anti-government protestors at Pearl Roundabout, its minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa said Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua News AGency.

"We are ordered to be lenient with the protestors and the ongoing protests are causing traffic chaos and affecting the economy," the minister said during the meeting with Editor-in- Chiefs of local newspapers, adding that individuals will be posted in different departments of the ministry.

Protestors wanted to spread the message of national unity between Shiite and Sunni, through peaceful demonstration.

On Friday, Al Wefaq National Islamic Society secretary general Shaikh Ali Salman said they would continue to exert pressure in a civilized way until the government resigns.

"This nation is not for Shiites alone. It is the homeland of the Sunnis and Shiites equally together. No one has superiority over the other. All are equal. I do not accept any Sunni to be harmed," he said.
