Three Azerbaijani national activists arrested in Iran

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Iranian law-enforcement began arrests to prevent protest actions planned on the occasion of the anniversary of 22 May, 2006 events in the country. Three Azerbaijani national activists Ramin Jabbari, Nadir Azizi and Hafiz Sardarpur were arrested in Ardabil province, press service of the World Azerbaijanis Congress told APA. They were detained on May 17 as a result of operational measures taken by the Iranian Security and Information Ministry (Etelaat). Their computers, books and other private things were confiscated during the searches at their homes.
